NOTE: All American Recycling reserves the right to refuse to purchase any material that poses a safety or environmental hazard. All American Recycling WILL NOT buy stolen material under any circumstances. Please also read about the new Illinois Scrap Metal law that requires proof of ownership to be shown for certain types of metal before we will purchase them.

  • Compressed gas cylinders with valve or closed containers of any kind
  • Asbestos-containing material
  • Acetylene or commercial gas cylinders
  • Cathode ray tubes
  • Containers with free-flow liquids (paint, oil, gasoline, etc)
  • Mercury switches or devices
  • Televisions or computer monitors
  • Flammable or combustible material
  • Fluorescent light bulbs
  • CFCs or refrigerants
  • Munitions or explosives
  • Radioactive material
  • Vehicles
  • Hazardous Waste
  • Ballasts containing PCB’s
  • Capacitors/Transformers
  • Sealed tanks (Freon, propane, gas, etc.)

All American Recycling will not accept small appliances, MVACs, or MVAC-like appliances with cut or dismantled refrigerant lines, unless verified that refrigerant was properly recovered per 40 C.F.R. §82.155(a) prior to dismantling the lines. Verification must be provided.

  • All small engines or other parts/materials for scrap or recycling must be drained of fluids prior to acceptance
  • All refrigerants must be removed from any materials prior to acceptance
  • No vehicles
  • No flammable materials
  • No open burning
  • No soil or clean construction demolition debris (35 Ill. Adm. Code 1100)
  • No hazardous waste or hazardous materials
  • No liquid wastes
  • No tires
  • No landscape waste
  • No medical or biohazard wastes
  • No municipal solid waste
  • No otherwise regulated waste materials

All American recycling, LLC reserves the right to randomly screen all materials prior to acceptance. No smoking and scavenging is allowed.
